October Camping at Huntsville State Park

It finally cooled off enough to go camping (I realize there are some people who don’t mind getting hot and sweaty while camping, but we are not those people).  We brought the jump rope and Anna practiced a lot.

Tony built his swing.  What a blessing that there’s always 2 trees close enough to do this!

Building a fire is always a highlight for the girls.

It was deliciously chilly in the morning.

Tony made the girls hot chocolate.  I was still in the tent sleeping.  I love Saturday mornings!!

Tony and the girls rode their bikes down to the fishing dock while I cleaned up after breakfast.  I’d rather clean than fish!

It’s so nice to see these kind of pictures.  They are not always so sweet with each other…

I don’t think Tony would have put his camera on the rail.  This one was probably taken by me after I joined them.

They like to cut up the worms – ewwww!

They actually caught a fish.  We also saw a 5 foot gator by the dock.  I’ve been coming here for 15 years, and this was the first time I saw a gator.  Very exciting!  Nobody caught any fish after that.

Fun times!
