Halloween Week

The week of Halloween started with a “Trunk or Treat” party at our church.  Tony’s work has been doing some kind of bingo fundraiser once a month, and the recruited him to be comic relief with this dog suit (not a cow).  So he got to bring home some costumes for us to wear.  I don’t really like dressing up, but he magically turns into a social butterfly with a costume on!
In case you can’t tell, I am a fire hydrant.  I especially don’t like dressing up with stuff on my head, so I didn’t have the top on much. 
The girls wanted to be a tiger and a cheetah – 2 dress up outfits we already had – yay!!

These are the same 2 outfits they wanted to wear 2 years ago – gotta love Spandex!!  Emma wouldn’t let me do those cute pigtails ears this time.

On Tuesday my good friend Jessica had her twin boys – Michael (on the left) came 1st at 7 lbs, 9 oz and then Thomas at 8 lbs, 1 oz.  Induced at 38 weeks with no epidural.  She’s my hero!  Normally I would include a link to her blog.  Normally she blogs several times a week with lots of great pictures of her other 3 children, but no blog yet for the babies.  I don’t know what she’s been doing – slacker!

Anna’s BFF Joanna (oldest of 5 at age 6 1/2), with Thomas, the youngest.  I did go visit them the day they were born and Matt took a picture of me with one of them, so I am looking forward to seeing it someday.
On Wednesday night, we finally carved our pumpkins.

On Halloween, the girls had a costume parade at school.  Usually all the parents go and take lots of pictures.  We some pretty major rain that day, so they had it inside with no parents.  It was early release, so we picked up Joanna and went to Smoothie King and the library.  Before I took her home, the girls helped me knead my pizza dough.

Matt and Jessica had gotten home from the hospital at noon, and we snuck in for a few snuggles with the boys when we dropped off Joanna.  Anna is holding Thomas and Emma is holding Michael.   They are so beautiful and perfect!

Back at home we got ready for trick-or-treating.  The girls had played with another friend the day before who had these little mask making kits, so they wanted to wear them.  I love my wild cats!! 

Tony took the girls out while I stayed behind and gave out candy.  He made me pinky promise I wouldn’t steal the girls chocolate this year.  I don’t know what we will do with it all.  Too bad Tony didn’t know how much I like the candy corn I bought to give to trick-or-treaters.  Good thing I gave it all away…

This morning before he downloaded the camera, he took some cute pictures on their walk (I was sleeping – did I mention I love Saturday mornings…)

I love my life!  Praise be to God!
